I am trying to reserve August 19th till September 2nd at Helsinki Vantaa Airport. But it does not let me reserve anything in September. Is that because it is days too ahead from now?

No not at all, well all I can say is that if you try a few car hire pick up locations and avoid Sundays or late on Saturdays you will see cars it doesn't matter how far ahead you book you could even book for next year.
